Pierre Bourque Heads to Historic Trois-Rivieres
Pierre Bourque will be looking to make some history of his own when he visits the fabled road course at Trois-Rivieres, Quebec for this weekend’s NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event.
Every racetrack has its own story, but Trois-Rivieres stands out even more so for its rich history.  The track has been a meeting point for tens of thousands of knowledgeable racing fans for decades. It's where legendary Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve made his mark and set the stage for his fantastic Formula One career with Ferrari. It's also a track that has attracted a wide variety of series over the years, so it is very well known in the international racing community.

While Bourque’s #29 Driving.Ca-Conservative Party Whitlock Motorsports Dodge Charger might not resemble a Ferrari F1 machine at all, it is ready for the task ahead of it this weekend.
“My #29 is well-suited to that demanding track,” said Bourque. “Last year we finished 12th and we'll be looking for a Top 10 finish this time around.  The Whitlock Motorsports team has been working hard this year and we’ve had a great car at every race, but a little bit of bad luck here and there.  This weekend, we should once again be in position for a strong finish.

The schedule at Trois-Rivieres consists of practice on Friday, followed by qualifying Saturday, and the race will go Sunday morning.

In addition to having a great pit crew behind him, Bourque’s team also includes a great line-up of sponsors as well.

“Having great sponsors like driving.ca, canada.com, working.com, and Dose.ca and associate sponsors like Sonomax and Immunotec make this all possible.  I appreciate their support.”

Another of Bourque’s sponsors also is close to the hearts and minds of Canadian citizens.  This weekend, Bourque’s #29 Dodge will sport logos for the Conservative Party.  Canada’s governing party is using motorsports to connect with Canadian citizens and those who are interested, can visit http://www.conservative.ca for more information.

Following the race, Bourque will head across the border to Chicagoland Speedway to test one of Andy Hillenburg's Fast Track Racing's ARCA RE/MAX Series cars in preparation for the September 8th event there.

Bourque is splitting his time between the Whitlock Motorsports NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entry and Kevin Buckler's The Racers Group team in Grand-Am road racing.  He also made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut last month at Indianapolis’ O’Reilly Raceway Park and will be making additional announcements on his future racing plans very shortly.
